The training posters and training videos feature the current approved and recommended WINTER WALKING ice cleats and traction aids for Iowa Municipalities Workers' Compensation Association members. ICE-BREAKER™ TRANSITIONAL TRACTION

ICE-BREAKER™ TRANSITIONAL TRACTION is a one-size-fits all ice cleat that is lightweight and provides both traction on ice and snow as well as versatility to be worn in other conditions. Comfortable underfoot, the ICE-BREAKER TRANSITIONAL TRACTION can be worn on any type of footwear, including flat sole sneakers as well as work boots with defined heels. The ICE-BREAKER is a simple solution for outfitting employees quickly and easily.

The ICE-BREAKER features 18 “molded-in” low-profile tungsten carbide studs for versatile and permanent traction for intermittent walking between ice and snow and indoor conditions.
​
With adjustable straps in both the toe and heel, the ICE-BREAKER TRANSITIONAL TRACTION can be sized to fit all employees of all shoe sizes.

Beveled edges in both the toe and heel make the ICE-BREAKER TRANSITIONAL TRACTION comfortable underfoot while going about normal work activities. High-Viz orange straps in the toe and heel make the ICE-BREAKER TRANSITIONAL TRACTION easily visible for safety checks. Light in weight, the ICE-BREAKER TRANSITIONAL TRACTION can be easily carried with employees while not in use.

LOW-PRO® Ice Cleat is a compact , light weight industrial strength ice and snow walking device that fits over all types of shoes and boots. These professional ice spikes for boots are extremely easy to use and can be put on or taken off in seconds. Light in weight, the LOW-PRO® Ice Cleat is virtually inconspicuous on the user’s foot.

Central to the LOW-PRO® slip-on ice cleats, is the Transitional Traction™ design. This traction footwear design features 26 minimally exposed tungsten carbide studs that allow the employee to gain traction in winter conditions while still being able to navigate clean surfaces with reduced risk of surface damage. This makes the LOW-PRO® generally safer to wear both indoors and while driving, reducing the need for your employees to continually remove the item from their foot.
GRIPS-LITE®
GRIPS-LITE® is a compact and light weight ice and snow walking device that fits easily and conveniently over all types of shoes and boots. It is extremely easy to use and can be put on or taken off in seconds. Weighing in at less than 4 ounces per foot, the GRIPS-LITE® Transitional Traction® device is virtually inconspicuous on the user’s foot or when carried in a pocket.

The unique Transitional Traction® of GRIPS-LITE® comes from the sandpaper-like aluminum oxide grit. This sandpaper-like grit offers a level of traction greater than that of normal rubber soled shoes. GRIPS-LITE® is designed to keep your employees safe both indoors and out without the need to take them off. The grit is also non-sparking and non-conductive and designed for industrial environments. Available in sizes S-XXL, GRIPS-LITE® will fit a wide range of boots and shoes.

ICE BEAST™ LOW-PRO
ICE BEAST™ LOW-PRO is a versatile ice and snow overshoe stretch device designed to fit over all styles of boots and shoes. ICE BEAST™ LOW-PRO features 28 permanent low-profile tungsten carbide studs for transitional traction in outdoor and indoor settings.

The ring style design combined with the unique wing-tip connection points keep the steel chain links above the walking surface. ICE BEAST™ LOW-PRO allows for complete access to the defined heel of the users work boot for safe climbing. Available in 5 versatile sizes to ensure a snug fit on any boot or shoe.

SPARE SPIKE™
SPARE SPIKE™ ice cleats for boots are a light weight and compact ice and snow walking device that fits easily and conveniently over all types of shoes and boots. Extremely easy to use, they can be put on or taken off in seconds. Weighing in at less than 4 ounces per foot, the SPARE SPIKE™ is virtually inconspicuous on the user’s foot or when carried in a pocket.

The traction on SPARE SPIKE™ ice cleats comes from 16 tungsten carbide studs underfoot which enable employees to walk confidently in winter conditions. The spikes on the SPARE SPIKE™ are replaceable and can be done so without any special tools. Each pair of SPARE SPIKE™ features a patent pending “spare cleat” built into the upper portion of the toe area, offering a quick replacement part for a suddenly missing cleat.

The SPARE SPIKE™ ice cleat features dual rear pull-tabs for easy on and off and also has a treaded sole that is designed to provide additional traction in thicker snow conditions. Available in sizes from XS up to an XXL they are sure to fit every one of your employees.
